Role Synopsis
|
Our client is a leading independent distributor of electrical and MRO items to industry. Founded in 1975 they have grown from an initial 2 branches to the 27 trading today. As a result of their continued expansion plans, they are currently opening a number of new branches and are seeking to appoint a number of talented individuals as Branch Managers to head up branches in Wickford Essex, Bristol, Derby & Leeds.
This would be an ideal role for an accomplished sales person looking to step up to a management position or an experienced wholesale/distribution branch manager looking for their next challenge. The Branch Manager is a sales leader and is expected to be out with existing/new customers 80% of time; an entrepreneurial self starter, you will be an excellent communicator, comfortable selling products AND solutions with a proven sales record, results oriented, someone comfortable getting results through own efforts and through staff - not a "shrinking violet". Electrical background would be preferred.
The Branch Manager role carries full P&L responsibility; Full sales and GP budget responsibility; Full responsibility for purchasing and supplier relationships; Full responsibility for Trade counter; Local marketing and promoting; Full branch team responsibility including BDM (external sales person) and Stores Manager (branch no.2) and all sales and logistics staff; Recruitment of above staff positions; Staff appraising, mentoring and motivating;
